NES Hospital Pharmacy Summer Placement Interview
I'm a third year pharmacy student, applied for a hospital summer placement via NES (national education scotland). Have an interview with them in a few weeks at Strathclyde uni - was wondering if anyone has been for an interview with them before and could give me an idea of the kind of questions they ask or what to expect from the interview in general as I have no clue. Any help or advice would be really appreciated! :)

£10,500/year tuition fees?!!
I’ve been helping a friend of mine who’s in year 12 look into university courses. She wants to do a masters in Pharmacy. However on the course page for the University of Leeds it says the fees are £10,500 for UK/EU students!! None of the other courses she has looked at are above £9,250 (which I thought was the maximum anyway??!). Is this an error, or has this changed?

Nottingham Pharmacy Interview
Has anyone received an interview for pharmacy at Nottingham 2018 entry? It’s really worrying me because when I went for another interview last week all the other applicants were also saying they were waiting on a reply, but I saw a tread saying that someone has received an interview. Also how hard are the science based questions at the MMI?

Foundation pharmacy at a good uni or direct into pharmacy?
Im currently stuck in a bit of a rut. I've so far received an offer from the following universities:
UCLAN - Pharmacy (waiting to attend the interview in a couple of weeks)
University of Wolverhampton-Pharmacy(Cond)
University of Sunderland - Biopharm (Uncon)
Medway school of pharmacy- Pharmacy (Cond)
University of Reading -Pharmacy with foundation (Cond)
I really want to go to Reading because its one of the top universities in the UK for pharmacy, but they've offered me a foundation year because of a supposed lack of chemistry in my course.
My question is should I just go for the foundation year at reading or should I just go straight into pharmacy say at medway or Wolverhampton? I'm currently 20 years old so is it really worth me wasting more time?

Extemporaneous dispensing calcs!?
I'm a tech and I've been asked to prepare 500mls of a 0.9% Sodium Chloride solution.
0.9/100 X 500 = 4.5g sodium chloride to make up 500ml of a 0.9% solution.
However it's also asking me to take into account the displacement value for the salt. My mind has gone blank, I'm not sure how to incorporate this into the practical when I make the product as I'm only familiar with displacement values for making suppositories.
Any help or advice on what I'm missing?
